Smoke Break is a virtual, peer-led program that helps 2S/LGBTQIA+ people across Canada quit or reduce smoking through a harm reduction approach.
2S/LGBTQIA+ communities often face barriers to accessing culturally safe and informed support to quit or reduce smoking. Programs by and for us are rare, making it hard to find trustworthy help. That’s why Smoke Break is here — to offer tailored, peer-led support.
Smoke Break is a free, virtual program open to 2S/LGBTQIA+ community members 18 and up. Our services include one-on-one support, group support, and distribution of nicotine replacement therapy kits. Services are offered by Smoke Break peer support workers, all of whom are 2S/LGBTQIA+ with experience smoking tobacco themselves. Services are available in English and French.
The program includes:
- One-on-one Support
- Group Support
- Text Support
- Smoke Break Supplies
