Most people connect with Adam when systems of care require more comprehensive support, navigation, or advice. This may present as barriers to accessing primary care, especially in rural or remote areas where maintaining a supportive relationship with a person’s existing family physician is important.
As a Clinical Nurse Therapist, Adam offers biopsychosocial care to individuals, couples, and families. A primary focus of care includes on-call supports for mental health distress, focussed on building safe and supportive relationships as family systems evolve.
Adam is not your ‘go to’ nurse for post-surgical home care, as these services are usually funded by the provincial health care system. However, for people requiring support with complex post-surgical and/or genitourinary concerns, restorative nursing care can help improve daily functioning in tandem with pelvic floor physiotherapy and specialist care.
